30 Weeks... hadn't updated pics in a while.

The Big 33

Sunday was my 33rd birthday! To celebrate, we went to the opening of the new Cowboys Stadium. It was amazing. Took lots of pics...they really don't do it justice. Baby Ford enjoyed the music... well, Lee Ann Womack, Reba, and George...not so much Blake Shelton. She has standards, ha.

Paint nursery....check.

Well, after 11 paint samples and two days, we finally finished painting the nursery. Who knew the light could change a paint color that much...but it did. Kyle was such a trooper, driving me back and forth to Lowe's and Sherwin Williams all day and dealing with my indecisive self.

The idea was to have pale green walls to coordinate with pink paisley bedding and accessories (below). But picking a green is not easy. You get some colors home and they look blue, or neon, or too dark, or way too light....almost white. Somehow we finally found the shade we were looking for... think it'll be really cute with the furniture and bedding.

P.S. Gracie is not a big fan of home improvement projects, but we finally got her to come in and of course she walked right through a big glob of paint ;)

Babymoon: Vegas!

We thought we'd take one last trip before baby gets here. Well, actually Kyle surprised me with this trip.. isn't he sweet? So over Memorial Weekend we hit Las Vegas for a much-needed vacay. Stayed at the Venetian, very nice. Had some really good food, lots of pool time, shopping and gambling. We knew three other couples on the trip, and I even had a fun preggo buddy to hang out with as well.

The highlight of the trip for me was getting to see CHER!!!

Kyle did really well on blackjack this time... think he had a special good luck charm, and she's due in August ;)

What a difference a week makes

26 weeks...

Furniture...check. Bedding...check

FINALLY...ordered the furniture. I was beginning to think the baby was going to have to sleep on the floor. We went with the Munire line, recommended by several friends. It's the Madison Collection in cognac color and will convert to a toddler bed and then a full-size bed... so we shouldn't have to worry about furniture for a while.

The bad news is that it won't be here until July 15. For a preggo lady who is nesting, that is really cutting it close.

Oh and by the way, the bedding arrived. It's even more beautiful than I remembered. Can't wait to get the room painted and purchase the car seat/stroller. I will feel much better after that (hopefully).

Whoa...baby!

24 weeks...we have a checkup today. Next time we get another ultrasound (yay) and glucose test. They should do more ultrasounds, really. 

Loving all the moving and kicking. It's mostly in the afternoon and evenings. I guess she's not a morning person right now.

Three of my friends had their babies last week. So, that kind of kicked us into gear. Feeling slightly productive now. Signed up for birth classes in July, ordered the bedding, and getting ready to order the furniture this week. 

Gearing up for our Vegas getaway on Memorial Weekend! Kyle surprised me with a pre-baby trip. Can't wait to sport my bikini bump at the Venetian pool.
